Do I need therapy?

Usually when people ask “Do I need therapy?” the unspoken question is “Am I broken?” I’ll tell you a secret: Therapy is not for broken people. It is for human people. Therapy is for healing, for strength, for support, for connection, for living whole and happy. And all humans need those things.

Most people begin wondering about therapy when other attempts to alleviate the issue have not brought relief or when there’s a nagging sense of needing something else. Many wait until they are at a breaking point to seek therapy; but why should you walk alone for so long? We go to a medical doctor or physiotherapist to heal, repair, treat, and prevent ailments in our physical body. We go to a psychotherapist to do the same for our emotional health.

Whether you would like to have an occasional “emotional check-up,” have a specific concern, are living with serious mental health concerns, or simply sense that something needs to change, I am here to support you.
